Main areas of interest include supporting eHealth SMEs to shorten the go-to-market process, as well as paving the way for the take up of eHealth by spotting areas of opportunity. She joined TICBIOMED in 2013, which allowed her to actively interact with potential customers and end-users.

He earns a degree on sociology and has now 23 years of professional experience in social and health care. As Head of Innovation and Research at Misericordia of Amadora he ideates, designs, develops and implements Models, Systems and Processes focused on integration and person-centered care models, social innovation, and improvement of services provided.

Alberto Zanini, head of Unit "European Interoperability services, Digital Identity and Digital Payments" in ARIA SpA, the ICT in-house company of Regione Lombardia, which is one of the HSMonitor procurers. In HSMonitor, he facilitates the integration activities between the suppliers' IT solutions and the procurers' legacy systems, in accordance with the overall project plan. Alberto is involved in EU-funded projects since 2015, in the fields of eHealth, digital identity infrastructures, and IT security. He is also serving the European Commission as an external consultant since 2017, covering the roles of evaluator and reviewer of funded projects.

Having completed his Master’s degree at Aalborg University in Denmark on EU R&D Policies, Umut has been consulting MOH on digitalising healthcare systems, personal health record systems, and m-Health solutions since 2014.

Her main interest lies in how PCP follows the regulatory aspects and simultaneously is flexible enough to integrate innovation factors.

What can we learn from existing PCP experiences focused on overcoming the challenges of an ageing society?
​​Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) is a tool to stimulate innovation as it enables the public sector to steer the development of new solutions directly toward its needs. This tool may help public procurers and suppliers to develop innovative solutions to societal challenges. Do the benefits offset the challenges when it comes to implementation in public systems? What can public healthcare providers and solutions suppliers learn from each other?
